Lost gestrals in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 are simply that — who can’t find their way back home.
They’re collectibles hidden around the continent, and it’s your job to find and return them to Sastro, their gestral caretaker. However, they’re a little hard to find because they’re, well, lost!
Here’s where to find every lost gestral in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 along with all of the rewards you’ll receive.
There are nine lost gestrals scattered around the overworld of Clair Obscur Expedition 33. Every gestral can be found as you’re exploring the overworld, but some of the gestrals are locked behind story progression and Esquie’s abilities.
Below, we’ve listed where you can find every lost gestral and when you can reach them in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
The first lost gestral is located directly in front of Esquie’s Nest, which can be accessed as soon as you exit Flying Waters.
The second lost gestral is found to the southeast of Stone Wave Cliffs, but they’re blocked off by blue rocks.
To reach the gestral, you’ll need to complete Esquie’s Nest and unlock the ability to mount Esquie in the overworld. After you summon Esquie, you can break through the blue rocks scattered around the map.
The third lost gestral is located to the southeast of White Tree, which is found on the western side of the map.
To get to White Tree, you’ll need Esquie’s swimming ability, which is unlocked after completing Act 1.
The fourth lost gestral is found to the southeast of Monoco’s Station, which can be accessed after you exit the Forgotten Battlefield.
The fifth lost gestral is located on an unmarked red island southwest of Visages.
To reach the gestral, you must first complete Old Lumiere. From Old Lumiere’s exit, swim onto the island to the northwest to find two mimes along with a gestral hiding behind them.
The sixth lost gestral is located on the coast to the north of Coastal Cave, which is to the east of Forgotten Battlefield.
However, to reach the gestral, you’ll need the ability to break through the coral reefs, which is unlocked after completing Old Lumiere.
The seventh lost gestral can be found beside a few fallen trees northeast of The Reacher, which is the large wooden structure on the western side of the map.
Although this gestral is near the coast, you won’t be able to interact with this gestral by swimming. To reach the gestral, you’ll need to unlock the ability to fly, which you’ll get after completing The Monolith.
The eighth lost gestral can be found on a floating island southwest of the Endless Tower, which is on the western side of the map.
To locate the gestral, fly into the sky and search for an island just beneath the large diamond on the map. At the center of the island, you’ll find the lost gestral.
The ninth lost gestral is found between a few “trees” near the Endless Night Sanctuary, which can be found on eastern side of the map.
To recover this gestral, you’ll need the ability to fly as the hills surrounding the area are fairly tall.
After you find your first lost gestral, you’ll send them to your camp to reunite with Sastro, a larger gestral wearing a chef’s hat.
Sastro can be found in an area behind the camp’s main area. Follow the pathway to the right of the campfire and take the first left to find Sastro.
For each lost gestral you find and return to camp, Sastro will give you a reward:
