Welcome to Should You Play, your one-stop shop for video game reviews and guides. Currently, Should You Play is being run by just me — Johnny. I’m a guides writer who has spent a majority of my short writing career at a website called Polygon. If you’ve used Polygon in the past, you might’ve used my guides for games like Blue Prince, Tears of the Kingdom, or even Fortnite. After my contract at Polygon ended, I decided it was finally time to showcase my work (and hopefully others’ work in the future) on a site of my own.
At Should You Play, you can expect reliable reviews, recommendations, and guides for the latest games. As the Switch 2 release is just around the corner, the first major release that we’ll cover will naturally be Mario Kart World! Make sure to come back on Thursday, June 5 to learn more about the game and how to become the best driver on the track.

Creating Should You Play was a difficult endeavor. Growing up, I never imagined that I would write about video games for a living, so establishing a website to feature my work feels like something out of a fairy tale.
